Welcome to the NEW White Rabbit Studios

July 25, 2010

Welcome to the new (and improved) site of White Rabbit Studios! We’ve combined our blog with our galleries to create a convenient blogsite for you to peruse our selected galleries, yet still be able to quickly access our newest work on the main page. If we may direct your attention to the top menu bar you will find the most popular galleries: wedding, portrait, blush, and design. We are also thrilled to introduce two exciting elements of White Rabbit Studios: film (remember that art-form?) and The Looking Glass (a 21st century photobooth!)

We would also like to point out the handy-dandy rss, twitter, and facebook icons and would love to become friends with you on all sorts of platforms! Please notice that at the bottom of each post there are ways to share them with your inter-circle if you feel the need to spread the love! We hope you enjoy your White Rabbit experience and you continue to follow us into the depths of life as we capture each magical moment along the way!

A quick note to all clients (past, present, and potential): we thank you for entrusting us to document such important memories in life. We look forward to freezing the moments of time between you and your loved ones.

We hope the new site is easy for you to navigate, but if you have any problems accessing anything please just shoot us an email with your concern (the.white.rabbit.studios@gmail.com) and we will assist you shortly!

Contest Winners and Sweet Souls: Paul & Natasha | Huntsville Lifestyle Photographers

July 30, 2010

We held a quick drawing for a free session on our Facebook page recently, and Natasha and Paul were the lucky winners! So we met these two lovebirds (and their pets!) at their home in Huntsville a few weeks later, and photo magic was born.

Natasha and Paul are an insane amount of fun, and treated us to an in-house mini concert upstairs, and then let us have their way with every room we were in love with–which was basically all of them. We are totally “at home” with their vintage accents and beautiful faces, and hope you are, too!

Introducing The Looking Glass: A Photo Booth For Any Occasion!

July 26, 2010

We have exclaimed to the world about our brand new photo booth, The Looking Glass, and we are finally ready to share what happens when fun-loving people step in front of the lens! Last Thursday Lowe Mill took part in a Gallery Tour, and we brought The Looking Glass to life to celebrate!

We were very excited that so many people stopped by for the test run–we came away with loads of photos, all of which are delightful and perfect. Some are familiar faces (Steven & Mary Lee, Melanie, and Amy & Randell), and some new ones! All in all–the night was a total success!

The photo booth is great for events, such as birthdays (or un-birthdays), anniversaries, family reunions, or office parties…and the perfect addition to weddings! Since this the booth’s inaugural year, we are offering The Looking Glass to our 2010 wedding clients at an awesome introductory rate–email us (the.white.rabbit.studios@gmail.com) for details!

A Cotton Gin Bridal & a Downtown Engagement | Huntsville, Alabama Lifestyle Photography

July 22, 2010

We are a pair of lucky birds! When Beth and Chris booked us last summer, they opted for our wedding package that includes an engagement session and a bridal session, which means we got to hang with them pre-wedding twice (well, Beth twice and Chris once). We love getting to know our clients through photo sessions, and encourage multiple sessions (bridal, blush, engagement, etc.) before the big day. That way, when the wedding arrives, we’re all practically old friends.

Speaking of old friends, Beth and I (Stephanie) worked on the University of Alabama Huntsville’s newspaper, The Exponent, together! So we go back a few years. It was definitely fun to spend time with she and Chris, AND I think we were all very infatuated with the oodles of delicious light that abounded.

We shot the bridal session at the Limestone Co-op in our new favorite place, Belle Mina. Beth’s dad is actually in charge there, so we got to go all over the place and shoot to our heart’s content.

A few days later, we journeyed downtown for Beth and Chris’s engagement session at 9am! It’s a bit early for some, but makes for sweet, lovey-dovey photos. One of the best parts of the engagement session was that Beth and Chris did not stop laughing the entire time!

Jamie’s High School Portraits | Huntsville, Alabama photography

July 19, 2010

Graduating from high school is a gigantic milestone in the lives of many teens, and something that should definitely be documented and celebrated in every way possible! We were super intrigued when Jamie contacted us about high school senior portraits, as this was our first joint senior session together.

The four of us (we two, Jamie, and her mother) met downtown. We took a stroll around the city and picked a few spots, and the journeyed up the Parkway toward Alabama A&M, where we finished the session. I don’t think there are enough crazy positive words to describe how excited Ashley and I were when Jamie got out of the car in her blue dress–can you say “ALICE” loudly enough?

We were thrilled when we heard that Jamie loves her photos, and that they believe the session was a perfect way to encapsulate all that she is in this pivotal, wide-open period in her life. Jamie, we wish you all the best luck with your present and future endeavors.

If you have an interested teen, or ARE an interested teen, we definitely recommend a portrait session! These can’t go in the year book, but instead serve as a phenomenal way to remember your high school senior as he or she is in this transformative period of his or her life.
