We (Ashley and Stephanie) have been shooting weddings together since 2008, however we’ve both had a camera attached to our hands for much longer. We are inspired by love and how it radiates such pure and raw emotions. Our style is an enchanting color-vintage fusion that will make your eyes pop and your heart sing, and the images produced via our four eyes is unique to itself. Most importantly, the photography is client focused–we love making you feel comfortable, relaxed, and happy in front of the cameras. Our portrait sessions are tailored to fit each individual and/or family, and our weddings are one of a kind–a delectable blend of tangible emotion and every single shade of love. In short, we aim to capture your memories exactly as they are, were, and will always be.

Design

Andy graduated with a degree in graphic and web design and loves transforming your mental pictures into perfect visual representations. Drawing inspiration from old album covers, retro patterns, clean lines, and classic font types he can create anything your heart desires: announcements, invitations, programs, labels, favors, or even your very own website! His love for wedding design sparked after he and Ashley tied the knot in May of 2006. When not creating stellar designs, Andy loves tending to the garden and running their record store (you can just call him Huntsville’s resident Rob Gordon) Vertical House Records.

DJ Services

Whether you’re looking for the warm, nostalgic analog sound of vinyl, or the convenience of digital music – we’ve got you covered! We have two turntables (and a microphone), as well as a HUGE digital collection of music. We can use your vinyl (or MP3s) or ours – and don’t forget – there’s an entire record store at our fingertips! If you are passionate about music, let’s talk…cause so are we. With three different DJs you can bet that every genre is covered, except Cheesy Wedding Songs, of course. From several musicophiles to another, we look forward to providing the perfect soundtrack to your day!

Videography

If a picture is worth a thousand words, can you imagine having every motion captured? We can create anything from an engagement session video (that you can play at your wedding), to save the date videos, to wedding day/elopement coverage – basically, anything under the sun! By combining the timeless and fun footage with a favorite song, we can produce a beautiful and personalized film that you will want to watch on repeat! Our videographers each have wonderfully trained eyes and unique visions to make your memories come to life. While most of our video work is done digitally, we do have the option for Super 8 or 8mm.

Elsewhere

Ashley and Andy are very involved in the goings-on at Flying Monkey Arts, including the theatre troupe Crash Boom Bang and the film-maker group Dead Worker’s Party. Andy writes and edits The Huntsvillian. Ashley writes and edits the wedding blog Hi-Fi Weddings and the Vertical House Records blog as well as their 100+ year old house restoration site.

Meanwhile, Stephanie writes and edits Casa de Kaloi, her personal blog, and is also the Managing Editor at Offbeat Mama.

What equipment do you use?
Canon 5ds are our primary cameras! Better focus, better colors, better for us. We also have back-up Canon & Olympus DSLRs, and a collection of film cameras including: Olympus OM, Fish eye, Holga, Action sampler, Polaroid land camera, Polaroid 600, Pentax k1000, Savoy MarkII, Miranda, Mamiya Medium Format, Super 8, and 8mm.

How long have you been in business?
Officially as White Rabbit Studios since the summer of 2009, but we’ve both been photographers for many years prior!

Where are you based and do you travel?
Huntsville, Alabama…and yes, definitely! While our business is not 100% focused on traveling, we love visiting new cities and countries! Especially to capture such a joyous occasion.

What are your prices?
As mentioned on our contact page, weddings in the Huntsville area begin at $2500, and out-of-town weddings begin at $5000. Portrait sessions begin at $400, and events are booked at a case-by-case hourly rate. We offer customizable packages for all of life’s moments worth capturing!

How do I book you?
Fill out the form on our contact page and we’ll let you know if we’re available for your wedding/session! From there, a 50% deposit and a signed contract is due for weddings, and 25% for portrait sessions.

When are my photos available?
Wedding photos are generally available within 2-8 weeks, depending on the season. Portrait sessions are typically available within 1-4 weeks. You will be sent a link to a private online gallery/slideshow to view the photos and you are welcome to share that link with family and friends!
