About

September 16, 2009

Our photography is artistic, photo-journalistic and authentic. Fifty years from now, we hope you look back on your photos and love every smile, laugh, & tear–every real moment–we’ve captured. We shoot everything from births to traditional and non-traditional weddings or elopements. Our unique combination of natural light and color allows us to keep it fresh and stand out from the trends–what matters most to us is getting to know and capture you in a way that most reflects who you are. White Rabbit Studios is based in Huntsville, Alabama, and we regularly shoot weddings, events, and portrait sessions in this region. However, we will quite happily travel nationally (and possibly internationally), and if you feel we’d be a great fit for your wedding day, don’t hesitate to send us an email.

Photographers: Ashley & Stephanie
If Ashley could have it her way, she would have been born with a camera in hand. However, she did start at a relatively early age when her father first handed down his camera and told her the four words that still stick with her today: “shoot what you like.” She is happy to be able to share her love of photography as well as her love for music. Ashley and her husband, Andy, own Vertical House Records in Huntsville. Since finding each other, life has been falling into place as they fall deeper into love. They are also currently renovating their 100 year old house in Historic Five Points and Ashley maintains her love for the stage with Crash Boom Bang Theatre.

Stephanie has been shooting digitally for a number of years, and draws inspiration from art (think Klimt, Duchamp, and Dali), literature (Marquez), indie-folk music, and anything retro and funky (”Soul Train”, Curtis Mayfield). She’s happily and delightfully married to her very best friend, Sean, and they are parents to a funkadelic rainbow of a son, Jasper, and owners of a crazy mongrel named Kali. Stephanie also writes the blog Casa de Kaloi, a myriad of parenting quandaries, relationship stories, and, of course, entirely too many Star Wars references.

Design: Andy
Andy graduated with a degree in graphic and web design with a passion for bringing great visual representation to his clients. He draws inspiration from everyday objects, old album covers, and his own creativity. Always with the clients’ desires in mind Andy can create anything from announcement cards to invitations to your very own site. While he also does freelance graphic design for several businesses, he is excited to be able to work with his wife and friends.
