Adrienne’s bridal was originally planned to be outside, in a beautiful part of downtown Huntsville we’ve discovered recently. However, fate and/or the weather were working against us, or at least redirecting us, so we ended up shooting the session at the ever-fabulous and unique Lowe Mill.
We shot Adrienne and Sammy’s beautiful, snow-day wedding this past Friday, and are looking forward to sharing it with you in a couple of days!

Ashley and I have been bouncing ideas about personalizing our blog a little bit more off one another for a few weeks, and Ashley came up with the idea to follow to uber-popular 365 Days group on Flickr. Instead of taking self-portraits, we’ve decided to take photos of everything around us, since our love for photography extends far into the rest of the world besides weddings.
Anyway, we decided to start with the first week of January. Since the 1st was a Friday, each Friday (or Saturday–we had a wedding that went into the night last night!) we’ll post two photos from our 365 set on Flickr. This week, you get to see our babies: the human baby, Jasper, and the kitten baby, Tiny. 
First, let me say this: Kat at Rock’n Roll Bride is among THE most fabulous people Ashley and I have encountered, online or off, since we launched this White Rabbit Studios shebang in August. She has been a huge source of both inspiration and source for us, both professionally and otherwise, and we owe a TON to her, for all of the various features, love, and support she has showered upon us. So, Kat, thank you, thank you, a MILLION bazillion times!

Sara and Jeremy are such a sweet, wonderful couple! The two drove up from Birmingham to meet for their engagement session, which took place at Lowe Mill (mostly in Ashley and Andy’s record store, Vertical House Records) and the surrounding area. We were excited to explore new territory–west Huntsville is brilliant!
Ashley had the great idea to ask Sara and Jeremy to pick a 45 out, and these photos are the result!
Jeremy’s proposal is a bit of a long story, so I’ll try to condense it. As it was told to us, before they were engaged officially, these two had discussed houses. When Jeremy proposed, he started out by asking Sara what kind of house she would want. She told him that they couldn’t get a house until they were married, and this was the inspiration for these two photos!

I have known Alicia since high school, and I feel honored to have been able to capture one of the most important days of her life…as she marries the man of her dreams. Alicia and Brandon were wed on a chilly December evening, with a very intimate ceremony, with only 30 people. Although the air outside was brisk, inside was radiating with love and warmth. Smiles all around as the two were united as one. After the gorgeous ceremony, more friends and family were awaiting the entrance of the lovely couple at the Sheraton in downtown Birmingham. As Mr. and Mrs. Peeples glided through the room, their love illuminated around them. Thanks so much Alicia for entrusting me to not only be one of the selected to witness your marriage, but to be able to provide you with the memories that will live on forever.
Alice, Donald, and nine-year-old Calvin might just be one of the more quirky, eclectic, and overall delightful and cool families we have worked with! Alice and Donald are expecting their as-yet-unnamed son in March. Ashley and I are more than excited that we not only shot their maternity session, but that the two have also asked us to be present at (and shoot, obviously) the birth of their baby!
This session was shot, (as most of our family sessions are), at the home of the family. Everything–from the yellow paint outside to the flaming red kitchen and black-and-white floor tile–about this house sings love! It was impossible for us to not be completely giddy the entire time we were shooting. The three are also incredibly laid back, which always makes for a pleasant session.
Aren’t ultrasound photos brilliant? I can remember our first ultrasound so clearly, and now we have a nine month old! Time truly flies.
One of Calvin’s jobs is the dishes, hence the wash cloth!
Do you recognize someone? John’s daughter (from the famed and beautiful Jane and John!), and John himself, are friends with the family.
These three snuggle in bed on the weekends and watch movies together, so we all decided this would, naturally, make for great photos.
We recently met the sweetest family! This is the kind of session that really proves that love is the best thing one can hope for. This trio was completely bursting with affection for each other, and their energy was definitely contagious! I don’t think Ashley or I stopped smiling the entire time we were shooting.
How amazing is this light? This is a new location for WRS, as neither of us had shot here before!

Sneak attack! Surprise kisses are the best kind.
Ashley and I shot a wedding on Monte Sano last November, and we were talking about wedding photography and what our dream weddings to shoot would be. If you know me well then you know this, but for those of you who don’t, I’ve been infatuated with India for years and years. One of my biggest dreams was to visit, and Sean and I did that in 2007. One of my biggest dream weddings to shoot was hands-down a Hindu wedding, and Ashley and I did that this past weekend.
Ashley called me a few weeks after we shot the wedding, bubbling over with excitement about a phone call she’d received about this wedding. She told me more or less that if she booked it I had to help her shoot it, and I readily agreed. After she booked it, I began mentally making notes. Luckily for all involved parties, we moved back to Alabama, launched White Rabbit, and this wedding serves as our first together as White Rabbit Studios.
Chirag and Nancy’s wedding was a three day extravaganza. We went to a variety of locations in and around Huntsville, and the first of these was the home of Chirag’s parents for the Mehndi ceremony.
Woo!
You’ll also see photos that feature several brightly-bedecked women singing. The Mehndi ceremony is usually performed for and with women who sing traditional songs for a prosperous marital life of the bride.

Stephanie and I had the wonderful pleasure to shoot our first Boudior (Blush) Session with such a fantastic subject! Samantha is every photographer’s dream as she just fell into the poses. The photos will be a gift to her fiance. Samantha and Matt are getting married in Ohio, and we hope they have a lovely wedding and a wonderful start of life together! Thank you Samantha for being such a great “first” for us!
One of the many perks of working as a photographer with a partner is that she (or he, but in my case, a she!) can take photos of…you! And your family! Ha. Ashley was kind enough to take a few photos of Sean, Jasper and I (and our dog, Kali!) around Jasper’s 3 month birthday. If you follow our blog with any regularity, I’m sure you’ll see plenty more of Jasper (and probably Sean and I) in the future!
