2010 Year in Review

As I sat here soaking in the warmth of the fire I had an overwhelming feeling of pure bliss take over my body. The memories of the past year make my heart swell, not only because of the wonderful smiles Stephanie and I captured, but because I’m capturing these moments with such a soul that is Stephanie.

It was a lucky day of fate when I contacted Stephanie about helping me shoot a Hindu wedding and she was available…and thrilled. It was meant to be when she informed they were considering moving back to Huntsville from Portland. The stars aligned when we bought our domain.

We are both shiny, happy people, and we have the appropriate balance of respect and kindness that makes our partnership thrive. I appreciate and adore Stephanie’s insight and creativity. I admire her passion for life and her lust for love. I enjoy hearing her contagious laughter and smiling eyes. I am lucky to have such a talented and friendly person by my side during our venture.

I look forward to the continuing growth and knowledge of White Rabbit Studios as we enter the New Year with new goals. As I look back on 2010 my eyes water with excitement for the past we’ve captured, for the present we are living, and for the future smiles and tears that we will freeze for eternity.

Stephanie: I thank you for your energy, your inspiration, your ideology, your positive premonitions, your mind, and your soul. I am so glad our paths crossed again.

To our clients: past, present, and future – I’m sure I can speak for Stephanie when I say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Every smile, gasp, tear, dance, flower, ring, vow that we’ve captured is instilled and imprinted in our memories. We appreciate you for trusting us to capture such important moments in life.

We enter and embrace 2011 with new challenges, new clients, new weddings, new ideas, and new opportunities – both personal and business minded. Thanks for following us this far in life, and we look forward to bringing you so many more photographic wonders. Take a peek into the past year…and here’s to pure happiness, bliss, and the most important thing in life – love!

Have you heard of Huntsville’s newest and cutest shop, The Switch House? It’s basically the most perfect place in the city. Imagine walking in Etsy in REAL LIFE, and then you might get close to what The Switch House is like. To top it off, everything is local and organically made. From candles, to bath products, to pet treats, to one-of-a-kind art, to fresh bread, to whimsical wear, The Switch House has something for everyone!

White Rabbit Studios & The Arts Council

We were thrilled to be a part of the Arts Council‘s panel about Social Media and how it can impact your business (which took place on October 20)! Stephanie and I have been very fortunate that word of mouth has traveled fast enough that we haven’t had to invest a lot of money into advertising. It also helps that we are both all over the internet and take full advantage of social media. We have met so many wonderful families and couples through sites like facebook and twitter…and it’s wonderful when “real life” friendships and bonds are formed thanks to those 1s and 0s.

Hanging out with Floral Reef | Huntsville, Alabama band photography

If you follow us on our Facebook page, you know that we recently gave away a free session at the most recent Lowe Mill Gallery Tour. Maxinie was the lucky winner, and she shared her session with her fiancé’s band, Floral Reef!

These three actually moved to Atlanta the very next day, so we were happy that we caught them in time — the photos are great, and it already looks like Autumn on Monte Sano, which we loved.

Welcome to the site of White Rabbit Studios! We’ve combined our blog with our galleries to create a convenient blogsite for you to peruse our selected galleries, yet still be able to quickly access our newest work on the main page. If we may direct your attention to the top menu bar you will find the most popular galleries: wedding, portrait, blush, and design. We are also thrilled to provide two exciting elements of White Rabbit Studios: film (remember that art-form?) and The Looking Glass (a 21st century photobooth)!

In addition to photography, White Rabbit Studios proudly also offers the following:

DJ services: obviously, we like love music. We know when music nerds get married they want the best – so we are here to deliver! While we have a massive collection of digital files available, our vinyl collection is quite the lead runner. That’s right, we can do it analog style! Whether from our stax o’ wax or yours, we can spin ‘em while you dance/live/love the night or day away!

Click here to hear just a tiny sample of music we have in our collection: Hi-Fi Love Songs! The mix features some of our favorites including Andy Kim, Jessie James, The Archies, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Gerry & The Pacemakers, Belle & Sebastian, Ernie K-Doe, Bruce Springsteen, and Otis Redding.

Videography: there to capture the emotions of the day. While we certainly love a good freeze framed moment in time, sometimes you just have to re-live that last dance sing-a-long with audio. Plus, how fun would it be to have a personalized music video from your wedding day? Want to capture that first birthday on camera (but also want to be in the video)? These ideas and more can come alive again and again on a screen near you!

Custom Design: we’re head over heels for our brand spankin’ new screen print machine! We also have access to a fancy schmancy letterpress, if you are a total design guru! For funsies (and a budget friendly option) we have a Gocco table top print machine for handy dandy printing. From invites to websites, to any paper or screen between – we can make it look good!

We would also like to point our nifty rss, twitter, and facebook icons and would love to become friends with you on all sorts of platforms! Please notice that at the bottom of each post there are ways to share them with your inter-circle if you feel the need to spread the love!
