An English rose falls in love with a Southern cotton bloom and a wonderful story unfolds. Olly is the Rose, and Katherine is the cotton, and together they are an incredible force bursting with love. We spent the entire day with these two. From the early moments of getting dressed, to the lovely ceremony (that we couldn’t capture with our cameras, but witnessed with our hearts), to their family farm reception – smiles all around. Surrounded by their family and friends, Katherine and Olly celebrated their dreams coming true.

Along with the primary photography coverage, we set up The Looking Glass, which was a wild and crazy fun time (check out the video in the post). Katherine also wanted to have a “wishing line” in which we captured the guests with our instax cameras and the guests wrote the lovebirds well wishes and happy thoughts for their future together. It served as a wonderful alternative to the traditional guest book. Thanks to Dana, Suze, Sean, and Andy for making all of the extra photo magic possible since Stephanie and I can’t clone ourselves yet!

We were all so incredibly honored to witness their love, and now can’t wait to share it with you!

I’ll never forget the warm intimacy of Kate and Jonathan’s wedding. While some brides might have been upset by the thick fog and puddles falling from the sky, Katie had a huge smile on her face the entire day. Perhaps you remember these two and their infectious laughs from their engagement session. Surrounded by friends and family on their wedding day, their happiness was magnified tenfold. From their tearful and beautiful first look, to their whispered vows and promises, Katie and Jonathan’s love for each other warmed everyone’s hearts in the lodge that evening. After a lesson of “walking the line” (Johnny Cash style) and a kiss to seal the deal, Katie and Johnathan danced the night away with our DJ, Matt, spinning country classics on 45s.

This wedding is near and dear to my (Ashley) heart for several reasons. The beautiful celebration took place at Lowe Mill, where not only White Rabbit Studios is located, but also the record store my husband and I own. To say this building is home away from home is an understatement. I work and play on these grounds, as do Matt and Summer. These two tied the knot (for a second time) in the historic building we all hold dear to our hearts. Their first marriage happened as the sun set on the coast of Spain (luckies)!! Since friends and family were not able to travel the distance with them, upon returning from their honeymoon, they had another intimate gathering to celebrate.

Matt and Summer are beyond talented. These two are the creative force behind The Blu Lite band, which is a group of folks that perform original and cover songs. Matt is and has been in a handful of amazing bands, one of which travels the world each year and perhaps you are familiar with: The Pine Hill Haints. I’m lucky to be able to call both Matt and Summer friends, and have had the opportunity to perform with them across several platforms including Purgatory Lounge and Crash Boom Bang Theatre (which is what brought these two together in the first place).

My eyes were misty throughout the whole night. There’s something to be said about witnessing two friends start their lives together. However, to also be able to capture it, often renders me speechless. I’m honored to know these two incredible souls, and blessed to call them friends.

I also would like to take the time to officially introduce Matt as part of the White Rabbit Studios team! He doubles as one of the DJs and a videographer. His approach to creating a wedding movie has a rather unique spin. Wanting to capture the true essence of a couple, he can create the ultimate video that highlights the story between the two love birds. After the images, you can find the movie he created for he and Summer. It’s a thrilling adventure that includes coverage of their actual wedding in Spain, along with the story of how they met. It’s beyond sweet!

Also, a million thanks to Offbeat Bride for featuring this wedding!

Settle in and get ready to witness a beautiful love story!

Everything about Mary and Jonathan’s wedding was breathtaking! From the stunning interior of the Historic Rucker Place, to the ethereal flowers, to the classy bride and groom – we were like kids in a candy store shooting this wedding! Mary and Jonathan worked with some of our favorite vendors to help their wedding visions come to life. Rachel, of Benign Objects, created the beautiful invitations (which were printed at our beloved Green Pea Press) and Stephanie Drake, of Proper Measures, brought the hot air balloon theme to life with her creative touch…and we can’t forget about the delicious desserts made by Will!

We were also thrilled that our cinematographer, Dustin, was there with us to capture the entire flow of the day! Mary and Jonathan’s wedding video makes us swoon with happiness! Be sure to hit play after you peruse the still images, the video is posted at the end.

White Rabbit Studios also provided the DJ services! With a mix of vinyl and digital favorites, Zach kept the energy lively on the dance floor in between sweet slow dances. From classics like Nancy Sinatra and Otis Redding to current indie favorites like Beach House and Edward Sharpe, the music created the perfect soundtrack to Mary and Jonathan’s special day.

You can recall from Stacy and Zach’s engagement session that we have a BLAST photographing these two. Their wedding was nothing short of amazing, and we were thrilled to be a part of their celebration. Even though we’ve already shared Madeline and Coby’s Mooresville session, Zach and Stacy’s wedding was actually our first time shooting there. We fell in love with the historic tiny town and all of the rustic nooks and crannies that make it so appealing. The ceremony took place in the Mooresville Brick Church, which was built circa 1839! The reception was a happy walk down the street at the Limestone Bay Trading Co. From the bright fall decor, to the non-stop laughter, to dessert table with an array of pies and cakes, Stacy and Zach’s wedding day was simply magical!
