Finery Mini-Fashion Shoot
I left my first visit to Finery wishing I could get married all over again. Madeline has created a lovely boutique in downtown Huntsville for brides to fall in love with their dream dress. She has romantic and eloquent taste, with a dash of modern and a sprinkle of vintage charm all wrapped up with a fancy
bow horseshoe! I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph a mini fashion shoot to give inspiration for a few different bridal styles!
What’s even more fun?! I asked my dad (he’s who handed me my first camera and taught me how to use it!) to come along to get some use out of our medium format, Mamiya, which shoots 120 film. He also brought an Olympus OM10, which shoots 35mm film. This was his first time photographing anything to do with the wedding business, but looking through the prints you wouldn’t know it – when ya got it, ya got it, right?! Here are a few of my favorite frames! Thanks Dad!
A huge thanks to Madeline for using one of my shots for her ad with No’Ala magazine – it landed the back cover! Check out the virtual magazine here.
