An English rose falls in love with a Southern cotton bloom and a wonderful story unfolds. Olly is the Rose, and Katherine is the cotton, and together they are an incredible force bursting with love. We spent the entire day with these two. From the early moments of getting dressed, to the lovely ceremony (that we couldn’t capture with our cameras, but witnessed with our hearts), to their family farm reception – smiles all around. Surrounded by their family and friends, Katherine and Olly celebrated their dreams coming true.

Along with the primary photography coverage, we set up The Looking Glass, which was a wild and crazy fun time (check out the video in the post). Katherine also wanted to have a “wishing line” in which we captured the guests with our instax cameras and the guests wrote the lovebirds well wishes and happy thoughts for their future together. It served as a wonderful alternative to the traditional guest book. Thanks to Dana, Suze, Sean, and Andy for making all of the extra photo magic possible since Stephanie and I can’t clone ourselves yet!

We were all so incredibly honored to witness their love, and now can’t wait to share it with you!

Tyler and Matthew were married at one of our fave local venues, The Summit at Big Spring. We have all been friends for a few months, since we first met at our meeting and fell mutually in love, and hope to be friends with this pair for many, many years to come!

Everything about their wedding day was, as Tyler put it, “ridiculously colorful and fantastic” — right up our alley! We nearly passed out when we walked in and discovered, to our great delight, that Tyler and her gaggle of amazing bridesmaids had spent most of their time folding incredibly delicate and oh-so-magical paper cranes, which were strung from the windows of the building and set out on tables as centerpieces. These incredible DIY touches weren’t the only ones — Tyler blogged two great DIY posts on her blog: decorations & accents, and modern photo booth. Now onto the fantabulous wedding where the color and smiles never stopped!

Their vows were so insanely cute that a gif is in order!

Since this Looking Glass was one of the most rockin’, we decided to make a fun video!

Jim Hudson is more than a generous man – he’s a kind heart, a warm soul, and an intelligent mind. Together with Lynn their love can light up a room! We were thrilled to capture the magic between them as they tied the knot at (Jim’s own building) The HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. The building was filled with friends and colleagues and included some of the most brilliant minds of Huntsville.

You readers may not know that Jim Hudson provides such a wonderful gift to the community, and a place we call home to White Rabbit Studios (and Vertical House Records). He owns our beloved Lowe Mill, and we can’t thank him enough for his investment into keeping the arts (and sciences) thriving in Huntsville. Being asked to photograph such an esteemed wedding was above and beyond an honor.

What’s a wedding without a photo booth nowadays?! From the classic black and white shots of an elegant evening, to the sweet messages in The Looking Glass, the night was well rounded with fun!

We have exclaimed to the world about our brand new photo booth, The Looking Glass, and we are finally ready to share what happens when fun-loving people step in front of the lens! Last Thursday Lowe Mill took part in a Gallery Tour, and we brought The Looking Glass to life to celebrate!

We were very excited that so many people stopped by for the test run–we came away with loads of photos, all of which are delightful and perfect. Some are familiar faces (Steven & Mary Lee, Melanie, and Amy & Randell), and some new ones! All in all–the night was a total success!

The photo booth is great for events, such as birthdays (or un-birthdays), anniversaries, family reunions, or office parties…and the perfect addition to weddings! Since this the booth’s inaugural year, we are offering The Looking Glass to our 2010 wedding clients at an awesome introductory rate–email us (the.white.rabbit.studios@gmail.com) for details!
