Ashley and I have probably mentioned this before, but we usually become “lifers” with our clients — we end up friends on Facebook, we shoot multiple events/sessions for the same couple, family, or group of friends. We like to keep contact even after everything’s over with, and have made a few lasting friendships as a result of working with people.

We first met Karen when she hired us last year, and we were thrilled when she asked us to shoot a family session for her and her two sons. These three are quite the team, and it was definitely fun to be around them!

With all of the snow still left on the ground, we thought it would be nice to showcase a fall family session. While Spring is on the horizon, we can remember when the air was just getting crisp, when the bright leaves were just barely hanging on, and the smell of pecan pie that welcomed us to the session. The Clark family have a beautiful mountain-top home that overlooks the Tennessee River…and it made for a lovely backdrop for their family session.

We met the Sacketts a few weeks ago in their Hampton Cove neighborhood, and couldn’t have been more pleased to do so! Mattie and Kinsey are the cutest pair of red-headed sisters we’ve ever seen, and the whole foursome were a delight. We hope to see more of this family in the future!

Steve and Savannah’s engagement session had a nice combination of some of our favorites elements: music, pets, and love! We started at Vertical House Records before dodging cars and jumping fences to a nice spot by the willow trees in the Jones Valley area. Steve and Savannah wanted to include their dog, and with such a cute bow-tie how could we resist?!

Each time we see Jonas, I’m always biting my tongue to keep the words from “My Name is Jonas” by Weezer inside! While I doubt I’m the only one who has the song immediately leap to their mind, it’s a pretty awesome one to share a name with.

We met Jonas, Chris, and Michelle (plus Chris’s sister and Jonas’s cousin!) at Lowe Mill for his three month session. We thought this would be appropriate to blog today, being Christmas Eve and all, since Jonas was proudly donning both a Star Wars shirt (…which really has nothing at all to do with Christmas, but roll with it!) and a “Baby’s First Christmas” Santa Hat. Between discussing elf outfits for little kids with Michelle (verdict: SO CUTE!) and giggling over Jonas’s every facial expression, I think we would all call this session a success!
