A fun-loving engagement with Chrissy and Shay | Huntsville wedding photography

August 30, 2010

We were thrilled when we first met with Chrissy and Shay–Shay is a magician (for REAL), and Chrissy is a fellow Huntsville photographer, so we knew we would be working with fun people. These two are getting married in October (You guys! SO CLOSE!), and we are, as always, eagerly anticipating the gorgeous wedding day.

Chrissy had to cope with a little jitters (it’s weird being on the other side of the lens!), but after that–our session was smooth sailing! The couple opted to shoot at our favorite spots, Lowe Mill. Since the mill is always evolving, we’re always afforded different backgrounds and locations for every session we shoot there.

Introducing The Looking Glass: A Photo Booth For Any Occasion!

July 26, 2010

We have exclaimed to the world about our brand new photo booth, The Looking Glass, and we are finally ready to share what happens when fun-loving people step in front of the lens! Last Thursday Lowe Mill took part in a Gallery Tour, and we brought The Looking Glass to life to celebrate!

We were very excited that so many people stopped by for the test run–we came away with loads of photos, all of which are delightful and perfect. Some are familiar faces (Steven & Mary Lee, Melanie, and Amy & Randell), and some new ones! All in all–the night was a total success!

The photo booth is great for events, such as birthdays (or un-birthdays), anniversaries, family reunions, or office parties…and the perfect addition to weddings! Since this the booth’s inaugural year, we are offering The Looking Glass to our 2010 wedding clients at an awesome introductory rate–email us (the.white.rabbit.studios@gmail.com) for details!

The Looking Glass: a Photo Booth!

July 15, 2010

Ah the photo booth, a tiny box that barely fits more than three faces. A box you can cut loose and go wild with your friends and loved ones. How can you resist?! Both Stephanie and I are totally enamored with the idea of photo booths, but it’s time to bring it up to date! We’ve knocked down the walls (so you can have a big group!), we give you total control of firing the trigger (so go crazy!), and the backdrops can be completely customizable to fit with the look of your event (with or without cheesy text!). However, the one thing that is staying true to the classic booth – YOU having FUN!

We have been working behind the scenes on several new projects and we’re totally stoked to reveal one of the biggest: The Looking Glass! Our fantastically fantastic, wondrously wonderful, brilliantly brilliant photo booth!

We poked fun at the idea last holiday season at an art show at the Mill…but this time around we’ve worked out some kinks, updated our gear, and now are ready for you to party! We invite you to join us on Thursday night (July 22nd, 5-9pm) at Lowe Mill for the 18th Annual Gallery Tour and we’ll have The Looking Glass in full swing! So come support your local art scene, grab some free booze and snacks, and cut up with us!! We can’t wait to share the images with you!

Huntsville Alabama Musician Photography | Amy Mccarley

May 31, 2010

We had the privilege of capturing Amy against the setting sun one evening…and we found the perfect places to illustrate the vision for her upcoming album release. Thanks Amy for letting us be a part of this, and we can’t wait to see it once it’s all packaged up! Hope you have loads of fun working on the project!

Phil & Ingrid’s Musician Portraits

March 3, 2010

Phil and Ingrid have been performing at and supporting Lowe Mill for a long time. When they contacted us looking to do some promotional shots for the various shows they play throughout the year, I was ecstatic! I (Ashley) shot this session while Stephanie was in Hawaii soaking up the sun rays with her lovely family!

I met Phil and Ingrid at their home in Five Points to snap some shots before moving on to our home-away-from-home…good ol’ Lowe Mill. You can actually catch Phil performing with one of his groups, Zapatos Perdidos, this Saturday (March 6th) at the Flying Monkey (which is located on the second floor of Lowe Mill).
