Photos with Phil Weaver and Mary Peck | Huntsville photography

We’ve worked with Huntsville musician Phil Weaver quite a few times now (see: Zapatos Perdidos, Phil & Ingrid’s Portraits, and he also performed at Melanie & Jonathan’s Constitution Village wedding), and each time is awesome!

This time around we met Phil and Mary Peck at Lowe Mill for a quick afternoon session to promote a show they played recently at The Daily Brew in Decatur. One of the photos from this session was actually used on an electronic billboard in Decatur, so White Rabbit Studios (and Phil & Mary!) has officially been billboarded, y’all! :)

A maternity session with Dan and Susan

Dan and Susan contacted us a few months ago about shooting their maternity session, and then rapidly decided to go with our Maternity+Monthlies package. This means we’ll be taking photos of their sweet baby girl, Caroline, every three months until she’s a year old! Of course, we’re super smitten with this family, and would love to keep seeing them as long as they’ll have us!

Dan and Susan were awesome sports and willing to attempt anything we asked. These photos really show the love, excitement, and sheer joy that the two parents-to-be were experiencing that day.

Chris & J.D.’s Breakfast for Dinner Dance Party

It’s hard to express how thrilled we were to capture Chris and J.D.’s wedding without sounding like giddy school girls! These two are incredibly fun and wonderful so we knew we were in for a great time! I (Ashley) have worked with J.D. and the Dead Workers Party on a number of projects…and since we’re all based out of Lowe Mill it was also great to shoot on our ‘stomping grounds’ because it felt like home to everyone. The day started at the gorgeous church St. Matthew’s where they became man and wife. Chris and J.D. chose to have a first look (yay!) which allowed for a relaxed session with the two love birds before the exchange of vows. While we were not allowed to photograph once the ceremony started, we were able to capture the moments before and the huge grins after…not to mention the awesome reception (which included breakfast for dinner, a donut cake, and an all night dance party!)

Bonus: the photobooth was insanely fun and a HUGE hit! Visual proof below!

K.I.D. Water Balloon Fight

Some pretty crazy things happen at Lowe Mill, and you can bet we were there to capture one of the best events of the summer – the K.I.D. Artist Collective‘s water balloon fight! We set up the photobooth for some before and after shots…and of course we happily clicked away as water balloons flew threw the air once the fight began (from a safe distance, mind you!)

A fun-loving engagement with Chrissy and Shay | Huntsville wedding photography

We were thrilled when we first met with Chrissy and Shay–Shay is a magician (for REAL), and Chrissy is a fellow Huntsville photographer, so we knew we would be working with fun people. These two are getting married in October (You guys! SO CLOSE!), and we are, as always, eagerly anticipating the gorgeous wedding day.

Chrissy had to cope with a little jitters (it’s weird being on the other side of the lens!), but after that–our session was smooth sailing! The couple opted to shoot at our favorite spots, Lowe Mill. Since the mill is always evolving, we’re always afforded different backgrounds and locations for every session we shoot there.
