Hanging out with Floral Reef | Huntsville, Alabama band photography

September 6, 2010

If you follow us on our Facebook page, you know that we recently gave away a free session at the most recent Lowe Mill Gallery Tour. Maxinie was the lucky winner, and she shared her session with her fiancé’s band, Floral Reef!

These three actually moved to Atlanta the very next day, so we were happy that we caught them in time — the photos are great, and it already looks like Autumn on Monte Sano, which we loved.

A newborn session with Cooper | Huntsville, Alabama family photography

September 3, 2010

Being a mother of a son probably has me a little biased, but there’s nothing quite as sweet as a baby boy! Or really, a baby girl — basically, we at White Rabbit Studios LOVE babies! We were happy to hear from Amanda, who booked our Newborn + Monthlies package. Lucky us, we’ll be visiting Cooper and his family at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months of age!

We really look forward to watching Cooper grow and develop — it’s amazing that these photos were taken in July, and that we’ll be seeing Cooper again next month!

A fun-loving engagement with Chrissy and Shay | Huntsville wedding photography

August 30, 2010

We were thrilled when we first met with Chrissy and Shay–Shay is a magician (for REAL), and Chrissy is a fellow Huntsville photographer, so we knew we would be working with fun people. These two are getting married in October (You guys! SO CLOSE!), and we are, as always, eagerly anticipating the gorgeous wedding day.

Chrissy had to cope with a little jitters (it’s weird being on the other side of the lens!), but after that–our session was smooth sailing! The couple opted to shoot at our favorite spots, Lowe Mill. Since the mill is always evolving, we’re always afforded different backgrounds and locations for every session we shoot there.

A spacy, Star Wars-y, super awesome-y engagement | Huntsville photography

August 23, 2010

Anna and Josh are the COOLEST. Not in comparison to anyone or anything like that, but they are just great people to be around. These two are getting married in a court house ceremony this month, and we couldn’t be happier for them!

Anna and Josh met at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, and since Josh still works there, we were able to get in to shoot their engagement session! I need to pause here and mention that Ashley loves space, and I love Star Wars, and the Space and Rocket Center is currently playing host to a huge Star Wars exhibition, so, armed with all of this knowledge, you might be able to imagine how incredibly stoked we were upon entry. Maybe.

Anyway! Back to the stars of the day. We met early in the morning and traipsed around the complex in good spirits. Josh told us little stories about the various happenings at the center as we meandered between rockets and people and spaceships. We visited the Davidson Center and oohed and aahed, snapped some gorgeous photos of this gorgeous couple, and then journeyed back into the main center to complete our day. We (very) happily bumped into a few members of the 501st Legion (Stormtroopers and Sand people!), and then concluded our day outside the Imax theater, which is where Anna and Josh’s romance all began!

If you’re on our Facebook page at all, you’ve already seen a few shots of me with Star Wars characters, but just in case you don’t — we like to have fun during our sessions, too. ;)

Hayden’s perfectly pleasant playground portraits | Huntsville, AL Lifestyle photography

August 20, 2010

We met Hayden, her grandmother, and our friends Kim and Chase early one morning this summer for a session in a Five Points playground. Hayden, ever the three year old, was a spot-on perfect subject, and we had an incredible amount of fun following her around and attending to each of her whimsies. Hanging out with Hayden reminded all of us of the subtle sweetness of life–the joy of swinging really high, the excitement of rocking your very favorite backpack, and the utter pleasure derived from something as simple as a pop-tart.

We hope you enjoy the photos!
